Oh what a DREAM this day was for Brooke & Garrett’s summer wedding at The Reed House at Live Oaks!! It was definitely our hottest wedding of the year yet, but it was completely worth it getting to capture every moment for these two. I have loved getting to know Brooke & Garrett over the past year! Their fall engagement session was just the best, so I knew their wedding day would be amazing! I’m so excited to share SO many favorites today!!

There were several special family details that Brooke & Garrett incorporated into their big day! Brooke shared a first look with her dad & then a separate first look with her 3 younger brothers – the sweetest. Brooke’s maternal grandparents weren’t able to attend the wedding, so Brooke honored them by having a framed photo of the two of them from their wedding along with her grandmother’s bridal hairpiece. Her paternal grandmother made not only Brooke’s cake, but an entire table full of cheesecakes & desserts for the groom’s cake. So incredible!

During the ceremony, I was brought to tears as they played the song “The Blessing” while Brooke & Garrett prayed together, & then Brooke’s grandparents came & prayed over them & their marriage. They have been married over 50 years – what a beautiful legacy! There was so much laughter & joy between Brooke, Garrett, & their family & friends throughout the entire day. I loved capturing it all for them to remember how much happiness the Lord has brought in bringing them together as husband & wife!

Brooke & Garrett had an amazing team of vendors who made their day absolutely perfect! The Reed House at Live Oaks was incredible, from the beautiful reception hall & getting ready cottage to the gorgeous ceremony backdrop under the oaks. My friend Jana Stringer Events went above & beyond to make every single detail come together smoothly! As always, Willow Blu created the absolutely stunning florals. Guests enjoyed the most delicious & beautifully presented food by Catered Occasions. DJ Adam Collier created such a fun environment for Brooke & Garrett’s family & friends to dance the night away!

Mr. & Mrs. Melton – congratulations, you two!! Y’all are seriously the best, & I hope y’all are living it up in Saint Lucia!! Enjoy reliving your dream of a day!!!
