This blogpost has been a LONG time in the making!! When we moved into #theHambickhouse in the summer of 2016, we knew that the kitchen would be our biggest project! It took over 2 years, but we are ALMOST completely done!! All that’s left is adding new baseboards & a new laundry room door/trim, but I figured I’d go ahead & share the before & after photos because who knows when we will have time to do those last couple projects haha! There’s something beautiful about sharing a project that’s in a “it’s almost but not quite finished” place!!
Merry Christmas, friends! I can’t believe Christmas is just ONE WEEK away!! This is always my favorite time of the year, & this year I’ve loved getting to enjoy so many old traditions as well as start some new ones. It’s always one of my favorite parts of the season to get out all of our Christmas decorations & spend an evening putting up our tree, hanging our stockings, & decorating our farm table!! I love getting to host our family & friends, especially during the holidays, so our table easily becomes my favorite part of our decor every year!
We had the most AMAZING snow day here in Mississippi a couple of weeks ago, & I’m finally sharing some of my favorite pictures we took that day!! I’m SO thankful I got out my camera & took these, because these are some of my favorite memories ever with my sweet husband & our crazy puppy Zeke!
Merry Christmas, friends!! It’s truly the most wonderful time of year, & I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite Christmas decorations in our home this year!! I always LOVE decorating for Christmas, & since it’s our first Christmas to have our dining room table made by my amazing husband, I decided to do a tablescape for the season!! We also got new stockings this year (thanks to the Magnolia Hearth & Hand line at Target, of course!)…
Happy Thanksgiving, y’all!! We’re spending the day relaxing with family, but I thought it’d be the perfect day to share this GORGEOUS wedding tablescape designed by Holly Holloway of Epiphany Event Planning! I got to photograph this beautiful setup at The Charleston Workshop hosted by Callie Lindsey, & I was blown away by how beautiful Holly put everything together!
A year ago today, we loaded up the U-Haul (with the help of some of our best friends & family), & made the short 30 minute drive across town to our new house. We had officially become home-owners just a week before, & after nights & days of painting our new house, a weekend in Houston shooting a wedding, & packing up all of our stuff, we were finally headed to begin our journey in The Hambick House! It’s been a whirl-wind of a year. In addition to buying our house…
Hey friends!! I am so excited to share another post about our house updates! I shared about our sunroom back in March, but with wedding season in full swing, it’s taken me a few months to share about our dining room, featuring our beautiful farm-style table built by none other than my amazing husband!! He finished the table & matching benches several months ago, but I didn’t finish adding the finishing touches to the room until just recently! I am SO thankful for Dyl & all the ways he works so hard to make our house a place we love.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen the hashtag #theHambickhouse start popping up in my feed back in July! That’s because we bought a house & have been doing some fixer-upper type projects to make it our own!! Besides sharing about the Katelyn Anne Photography home studio, this is my first post about our house!! We have spent MANY nights & weekends I didn’t have weddings working on various rooms in the house, & I can’t wait to share more in the upcoming months! But for now, I wanted to start by sharing about the room that was my ABSOLUTE favorite from the moment we first looked at this house
