Guest bathroom fixer upper renovation

We have been wanting to do our guest bathroom renovation ever since we moved into our house almost 4 years ago! If you have followed our “fixer upper” journey, you know that we spent the first couple of years doing smaller projects like painting the entire downstairs & decorating our sunroom. Then in the summer of 2018, we renovated our kitchen which was our biggest project to date! Last year, we took a break & started saving for what would be our next project – our guest bathroom renovation! At the beginning of this year, we decided we would start work on it in February. Thanks to Dylan’s parents coming to help us two weekends in a row, we were able to finish this project in about a month!! This room might be my favorite before/after transformation yet!!

We were planning to start demo on Valentine’s weekend, but when Dylan’s parents came to see us the weekend before that, they had the idea that we go ahead & demo while they were there to help us!

That next week, we had the bathtub professionally refinished (it looks SO much better!) Then Dylan’s parents decided to come down again so that his dad could paint the walls for us & help lay our new tile floor! It’s definitely my favorite part of the room!! Once the floor was finished, we added a new door, baseboards, & crown molding. We also decided to cover the entire left wall with shiplap (YAY!)

We then added a new vanity, mirror, shelf, & my favorite – floral art prints by Simply Jessica Marie! I am SO happy with the transformation of this room! Huge thanks goes to my amazing husband Dylan for ALL of his hard work, & to his sweet parents who gave up so much time to help us. We are so very grateful! I’m excited to finally share the “after” photos!!
