If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen the hashtag #theHambickhouse start popping up in my feed back in July! That’s because we bought a house & have been doing some fixer-upper type projects to make it our own!! Besides sharing about the Katelyn Anne Photography home studio, this is my first post about our house!! We have spent MANY nights & weekends I didn’t have weddings working on various rooms in the house, & I can’t wait to share more in the upcoming months! But for now, I wanted to start by sharing about the room that was my ABSOLUTE favorite from the moment we first looked at this house – the sunroom!! As you can see in my not-so-lovely “before” pictures below (taken with my iPhone, obviously), we knew that this space had a lot of potential but was going to take some cleaning up as well as adding furniture that would allow us to really want to be out there often! 

Thankfully, my amazing husband was willing to build us an outdoor sectional!! We went to Lowe’s & found these blue deep seat chair cushions, & he designed the sectional to fit them to size! One night a couple of weeks ago, I was gone for about 3 hours for a meeting, & when I came home, he had the sectional already built! All that was left was to stain it, & I’m SO happy with how it turned out!

Once the sectional was built, we took down the super old & non-working ceiling fan & added these string lights that we got on Amazon for a steal!

Zeke obviously loves the sunroom, too!! I got the blue & teal paisley pillows from TJ Maxx & the floral “hello” pillow from Target!

We had this coffee table that Dyl had used in college! It was black, so we just spray painted it white to brighten the room up! The blue tray was a wedding gift & I’ve been waiting to have the perfect place to use it!

Dyl & I bought this hammock chair while we were on our cruise this past summer! We’re so excited that we finally have a great place to hang it!

I found this lantern at World Market on clearance & the blue candle is a Capri Blue Volcano candle, hand poured right here in Mississippi! We bought this outdoor rug at the Miskelly Furniture tent sale last week & got a great deal on it! I love the colors!!

We are so thankful for this space & have literally ended every day over the past week by eating dinner & hanging out here. We really wanted this room to be life-giving & to remind us to slow down & rest. We can’t wait to keep having our family & friends over to enjoy it with us!!
