It’s going to be hard for me to express in words just how honored I was to capture Shelby & Miles’ wedding on Saturday, but I’m certainly going to try!! From the moment these two chose me to be their wedding photographer, I have been looking forward to their big day! Shelby & Miles been together for six and a half years, so this day was long anticipated by so many! I loved getting to see these two families come together as one to celebrate the Lord’s faithfulness & timing in Shelby & Miles finally becoming husband & wife. The entire weekend was such a sweet celebration – from the rehearsal dinner Friday night to the exciting hours leading up to the ceremony to their first embrace after they said “I do”, it was so evident that the Lord’s presence was more than enough. He was SO glorified through every aspect of their day, & it was so amazing to see such a beautiful picture of the body of Christ displayed through the support & love from their friends & family.

At the rehearsal dinner Friday night (which I was beyond grateful to be invited to), each person that spoke about Shelby & Miles spoke of their love for the Lord, each other, & their people. Through all of the different seasons & life transitions that these two have already experienced together, they’ve stayed committed first to Christ & second to each other. Everyone who knows Shelby & Miles knows that their marriage is going to glorify the Lord, & that’s all that matters. Their friends & family also spoke of how well they compliment each other & that Shelby & Miles are “perfectly different.” I love seeing the Lord’s creativity through the couples He brings together to be pictures of the gospel to the world. Shelby & Miles are such a beautiful example.

The wedding took place in Shelby’s home church & in a venue in her hometown, & the rehearsal dinner was at Miles’ family home. Their families went above & beyond to make the weekend so special for Shelby & Miles & their friends! The entire weekend was full of SO much joy!! The wedding party was the most FUN group of friends, all so excited for the bride & groom & so encouraging to them all day!! Even though we had a 100% chance of rain, Shelby & Miles knew that at the end of the day, they would finally be married, & that was all that mattered! Thankfully, we only had a few pockets of rain & the sun came out at the PERFECT time as we ended the day with sunset bride & groom portraits! I’m so excited to be sharing all of my favorites from this day & hope you fall in love with these two & their family & friends as much as I did!!

Mr. & Mrs. Jackson (FINALLY!!) – I’m so so thankful to know you both & grateful that I had the amazing undeserved honor of capturing the first day of your new journey as husband & wife! I know that the Lord has so much in store for you two, & I feel blessed to get to witness it as your photographer & friend. Love you both!!
