What a way to end the year!! I’ve been looking forward to Jessica & Melvin’s Jackson, Mississippi wedding at Saint Andrew’s Cathedral for months & was so excited when their day finally arrived! It’s not often that I say yes to photographing a New Year’s Eve wedding, but of course I was all in when Jessica reached out to me after she & Melvin got engaged earlier this year. Their fall engagement session was a dream, & I knew their wedding day would be the same!!

You would assume that for a winter wedding, we’d be shooting in really cold weather, but in Mississippi, you never know what the weather will be like even in December!! It was almost 80 degrees on Jessica & Melvin’s big day, but the stunning details, Jessica’s gorgeous sparkly dress, & the festive New Year’s decor made it feel like a true winter wedding. Jessica & Melvin’s first look was one of the sweetest ever – Melvin was overcome with emotion at how stunning his bride was! One of my other favorite moments of their day was hearing Jessica say her vows through beautiful tears. It was evident that Jessica & Melvin were so grateful to become husband & wife!

I loved working with some awesome vendors who made this day incredible for Jessica & Melvin! Kim Sharp coordinated every moment & detail perfectly, & August Table Events designed elegant florals & fun reception decor! From the beautiful ceremony to the celebratory reception ending in a countdown to the new year, it was a wonderful day for Jessica & Melvin to start their life together!
