I kicked off my 2021 wedding season this past Saturday, & it was an absolute dream day!! This was my first wedding after coming back from maternity leave, & I was super excited to be doing what I love once again for Meagan & Nore’s Mississippi Delta wedding!! We traveled to Cleveland, Mississippi & had so much fun spending the day capturing all of the joy between the bride & groom, wedding party, & family. After being postponed from their original May 2020 date (thanks to Covid of course), Meagan & Nore’s day was LONG anticipated!! Everyone was SO thankful that their day was finally here!!

Being based in Houston, Texas, Meagan & Nore experienced other hardships during this past year including the Houston flooding in September & then the major power outages during this past winter. Meagan & Nore are both nurses, so of course they’ve also had an incredibly hard year in their jobs as they’ve navigated all of the changes that Covid has brought into their work places. I along with so many others have been inspired by their joy in the midst of some really tough circumstances, & their wedding day was full of that much more excitement & celebration because of all they’ve been through!

And in spite of everything, Meagan was so intentional to encourage me often during my pregnancy last year – being a labor & delivery nurse, she would message me to see how I was feeling, ask how she should pray for me, & give me advice on what to expect in labor! She is the sweetest & I’m so thankful that she’s forever a Katelyn Anne Bride!!

Meagan & Nore were married in her hometown of Cleveland, Mississippi in the heart of the Mississippi Delta! I always love when I get to travel to the Delta for weddings, as it usually means I’ll get to see one or two of my past couples since “everybody knows everybody” there!! We took portraits in downtown Cleveland which was so fun & perfect for Meagan & Nore’s day. They incorporated a Persian wedding ceremony & other Persian traditions throughout the day to represent Nore’s family’s heritage! Meagan’s grandparents celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Friday before the wedding – how sweet is it that Meagan & Nore will basically share an anniversary with them!?

I just loved this day & am so honored that I got to be the one to capture it for Meagan, Nore, & their family & friends. I’m so excited to introduce the new Mr. & Mrs. Kasmai!!!
