I have been looking forward to Kaitlyn & Scott’s Starkville, Mississippi wedding at Dodson Farm from the moment I first talked with them last fall! They are truly one of the sweetest & most genuine couples I’ve ever worked with. You may remember their Mississippi State engagement session from earlier this winter! Even though they live in Florida now, Kaitlyn & Scott decided to get married in Starkville since they met at State & Starkville is such a special place to them. Dodson Farm is one of my absolute favorite venues, & it was the perfect place for Kaitlyn & Scott’s gorgeous winter wedding day!!

Since their wedding was somewhat of a destination wedding, guests traveled from all over the country to be a part of Kaitlyn & Scott’s day! It says so much about who they are & how much they love their people that so many family members & friends came to celebrate with them! From the beautiful florals by Angie’s Catering & Floral Design to the AMAZING antique car provided by Coats Classic Cars, the details were stunning. But what stuck out to me the most was the joy & excitement that radiated throughout the entire day!

Kaitlyn & Scott chose to write letters to each other & read them separately before their first look. Kaitlyn shared that Scott writes her beautiful cards & letters on special occasions, & every single time, he makes her cry tears of joy! Isn’t that the sweetest?! Their first look was so special. Scott was overcome with emotion at finally getting to see his bride! I just love the picture this paints of Christ’s love for us!!

I joked with Kaitlyn & Scott that after the freezing temps they had for their engagement session (literally 30 degrees & rainy!), I was SO glad they got a beautiful sunny wedding day!! Especially for February, the weather was beautiful, & we were able to take a TON of portraits – yay! One thing I’ll personally never forget about getting to work with these two is their thoughtfulness & selflessness. Both Kaitlyn & Scott kept checking on us throughout the day & thanked us repeatedly for being there & capturing their wedding. It was truly an honor, & I was reminded multiple times on Saturday just how much I LOVE this job of mine! It’s a dream come true to work with couples like Kaitlyn & Scott!!

Mr. & Mrs. Edgerley – I have absolutely loved getting to know y’all & work with y’all during this season! Being your photographer has truly been a blessing. I pray the Lord continues to bless your relationship as you begin your marriage! He will always be faithful!!
