This past Saturday, I got to capture my first ever Natchez, Mississippi wedding, & it was seriously more than I could have ever dreamed of!! Katie Anne is from Natchez, & she grew up visiting Stanton Hall (the most STUNNING antebellum home & now one of my absolute favorite venues), so it only made sense that she & John Michael have their wedding there! All week, the forecast had shown heavy rain & thunderstorms for Saturday, but despite the rain, this day was a total dream come true to capture – from the gorgeous details & amazing venue to so many sweet & special moments, it was truly an honor to get to photograph Katie Anne & John Michael’s southern wedding day!

One of my favorite moments of the day was right after Katie Anne & John Michael’s first look, when they read letters from their adventure book that they had written to each other on their wedding day! It was so amazing to see how much love these two share, & how excited they were to begin their new adventure of being husband & wife!!

The staff at Stanton Hall/The Carriage House went above & beyond to make this day happen! I could go on & on about how much I loved working with them as well as getting to photograph this antebellum home! Even with the rain, we were able to take so many portraits because of the amazing porch on the front of the house that had the perfect backdrop of trees & tall white columns!! I don’t think I’ve ever been more thankful for a porch, y’all!!

I also have to brag on Katie Anne’s sweet bridal party who were seriously not only such a fun group but were so patient as we worked around the rain!! Katie Anne’s bridesmaids were so helpful all day, & just loved how excited they were for their friend!! You girls were so awesome!!

Katie Anne & John Michael – I am so thankful that you two trusted me to be your photographer & were willing to brave the rain & humidity so we could take what I hope will be your favorite pictures of your most favorite day!! You two are such a blessing to know, & I can’t wait to see what God has in store for your marriage! I hope y’all are having the best time in Napa!! Love you two!!
