Madison, Mississippi newborn photographer

Griffin & Sallie welcomed their baby boy Walker Lyle on the morning of March 3! He weighed 6 pounds & 14 ounces & was 19.5 inches long. He is absolutely precious! I was so excited to get to capture their Madison, Mississippi lifestyle newborn session!! I have known Sallie & Griffin since college, & it was so sweet to take their family’s first photos as a family of three.

Capturing my newborn session families in their own homes is just the best! We always shoot in the baby’s nursery which is so special. I especially loved all of the details in Walker’s nursery! It’s the perfect space for him to sleep in now & of course play in one day!!

My favorite part of the Metcalfs’ session was seeing them interact as a family. Griffin was so attentive to both Sallie & Walker, making sure they were comfortable & had everything they needed during the session. Sallie was an all-star Mama, taking care of her baby boy & calming him so quickly when he got a little fussy towards the end of our time together. I just love seeing how even in the early stages of parenthood, God already gives parents the wisdom to know how to take care of their little ones!
