Oh how I loved my time with Shelby & Elijah!! I have been looking forward to their Brandon, Mississippi engagement session & was so excited to see them on Monday! Thankfully we had GORGEOUS weather (especially for January), beautiful light, & great locations. But more than any of that, I’m thankful that I got to capture these two & their sweet relationship!!

Shelby & Elijah went to high school together (the same school I went to also! I actually graduated with Shelby’s sister, Lacey!) but they didn’t start dating until Elijah moved back home to Brandon after working a travel job for a few years! One day, Shelby posted a Bible verse on Instagram, and Elijah responded to it! They started talking about their faith and they immediately hit it off once they knew how important their relationship with Christ was to both of them. What a PERFECT way to start a relationship! They started dating soon after & have been inseparable ever since! Shelby & Elijah give all glory to the Lord for bringing them together in His perfect timing!

We started their engagement session in downtown Brandon, & then went to Elijah’s parents’ house just a few minutes down the road. Elijah proposed to Shelby by the lake there, so it was extra special that we got to take some of their engagement photos there!! The joy between these two is so contagious – Christ shines through their relationship, & I can’t wait to see all that He has in store for their marriage!
