I’m so excited to share Margaret & Ryan’s timeless southern wedding in Brookhaven, Mississippi! Their day was intimate & personal, & I was truly honored to be the one to capture it! Margaret & Ryan’s beautiful day was held at Margaret’s family’s home which was built by her great great grandfather in 1907! I just loved that their marriage began where Margaret grew up. It was the sweetest day!!
Ryan proposed to Margaret in such a personal way – while they were looking through the keepsake boxes they each have that are full of memories from their relationship. They wanted their wedding day to be just as personal, so they chose to have a small family wedding so that each person there would be extra special to them! Their wedding party was made up of their siblings, cousins, niece, & nephews. It was truly beautiful to see how close their family is & how excited everyone was to celebrate with Margaret & Ryan!
There were so many details that made their day unique. Ryan had given Margaret the beautiful birds that they used for their cake topper, so they also used birds on the wedding invitations & decorations throughout the day. There were several family heirlooms used throughout their day as well – the ring bearer pillow made from Margaret’s great great grandmother’s wedding dress, the cake knife that’s been used at all of their family weddings, fine China passed down from generation to generation. I just LOVED all of the family history & the legacy that was represented on Margaret & Ryan’s day. What an example of love & commitment for them to look to as they embark on their own journey of marriage!
Margaret & Ryan – I can’t thank you both enough for trusting me to capture your big day! I absolutely loved meeting your precious families. I’m so excited that y’all are finally husband & wife! Marriage is such a gift – I know the Lord will use yours to bring Him glory!!
