It’s always so fun when I get to do a session that’s a little bit different! I’m so excited to share my favorites from Channing & Jonathan’s rainy day engagement session!! Even though the forecast had not shown a high chance of rain, it ended up raining the entire time we were shooting. But with a couple of clear umbrellas & some covered locations, we were able to shoot through the rain & ended up taking some beautiful portraits of Channing & Jonathan!!

These two have such an awesome story!! They met 3.5 years ago in HAWAII! They became friends & were able to spend more time together once Jonathan moved from his hometown of Brandon, Mississippi to Channing’s hometown of San Diego, CA. It wasn’t until Jonathan moved back to Mississippi that they decided to start dating. Soon after, Channing made her way to Mississippi so they would no longer have to be long distance!! They love to travel back to California to go surfing as often as they can (how cool is that?!) During their trip there at the end of January, Jonathan proposed to Channing at Mount Soledad in La Jolla, a place that’s special to both of them!

I love that the Lord led a girl from California & a guy from Mississippi to each other in His perfect timing! He truly writes the BEST stories!! Channing & Jonathan will say “I do” on Jonathan’s family’s land here in Brandon, Mississippi this June. I cannot wait to capture their beautiful day!
