I couldn’t have DREAMED of a better way to end this year & this decade than by getting to capture Cara & Payton’s gorgeous winter wedding day!! I’ve been looking forward to this wedding since the moment I met these two almost a year ago. They are such a sweet couple whose story is just such a testament to God’s faithfulness! As you may remember me sharing in their engagement session blogpost, Cara & Payton have been together for over 7 years. They met in their church, so it was only fitting that they get married there all these years later!!

Cara LOVES Christmas, so Payton proposed to Cara last Christmas Eve & they decided to have a Christmas wedding!! SO perfect! There were so many special details that Cara & Payton chose to go with their Christmas theme – Christmas trees, customized ornaments for guests to take home, a cookie decorating station, & of course my favorite, Christmas music!! Cara & Payton even danced to “All I Want for Christmas is You” sung by Michael Buble for their first dance – the best!

Amidst all of the beautiful details, the emotions of joy & excitement from Cara & Payton & their family & friends stood out more than anything. Cara’s dad had surgery to remove cancer last year, & on Saturday, exactly one year later, he walked his daughter down the aisle 100% cancer free. It was truly an honor to capture every moment of this day, but especially the moments Cara shared with her sweet dad. After losing my dad this year, father/daughter moments have taken on a whole new meaning to me, & I’m just so grateful that Cara’s dad was able to share in the joy of giving his daughter away & being a part of her beautiful wedding day.

Cara & Payton – thank you both so much for letting me be a part of your gorgeous winter wedding day! Y’all are such an amazing couple, & I can’t wait to see what all the Lord has in store for your life together!! I hope y’all will be able to relive every special moment of your wedding day through your photos for years & years to come. Love you both!!
