I should start this post by saying that I always try not to cry at weddings, but most of the time, I fail, & it’s just impossible for me not to cry when it’s a dear friend!! I met Beth two summers ago while we were both interning at Show Hope, a non-profit that gives financial aid to families who are adopting, & knew instantly that I wanted to be her friend!! She was hilarious & so much fun, so naturally we became adventure buddies that summer. Anyone that has been around Beth knows that her joy is contagious. No matter what kind of day she was having, she chose to laugh about it & see the good in it, & that changed my life more than she’ll ever know! Her love for the Lord & desire to live a life that glorifies Him is so evident in her love for people, especially people in need of the Gospel.

So, it was no surprise to me when I finally met Mike on his wedding day & learned that he & Beth were the perfect pair. If you think they’re joyful people separately, just see them together & you’ll know that the Lord knew exactly what He was doing when He brought them together. Beth had told me so much about Mike & their relationship, but it was truly an honor to see it for myself & to get to capture the day that she & I had talked about would hopefully come.

What spoke to me the most about the kind of people Beth & Mike are was seeing the type of people that they call their closest friends. Their friends were some of the sweetest most gracious people I’ve ever gotten to work with! They each took time to thank us for being there, for coming from Mississippi, for capturing their day. It was the biggest blessing to see the way that Beth & Mike’s people celebrated them, & the joy of the Lord was so evident throughout so many moments the entire day!

The moment Mike saw Beth coming down the aisle will forever be one of my all-time favorite wedding moments. He was so overcome with joy, that this moment was finally here, that his bride would finally be his forever. It was such an incredible picture of what it will be like when we, the bride of Christ, finally get to see our Bridegroom. I believe He will be overcome with joy to see us, too.

Beth & Mike, now that I’ve written a short novel about how much I love you two, I hope you know how much of a complete honor it was that you brought us all the way from Mississippi to be a part of your beautiful Texas wedding. It was seriously a dream come true, & I hope these photos will help you relive your day for years & years to come! I cannot wait to see how the Lord continues to use you both for His glory. So thankful to call you two friends!!
