This blogpost has been a LONG time in the making!! When we moved into #theHambickhouse in the summer of 2016, we knew that the kitchen would be our biggest project! It took over 2 years, but we are ALMOST completely done!! All that’s left is adding new baseboards & a new laundry room door/trim, but I figured I’d go ahead & share the before & after photos because who knows when we will have time to do those last couple projects haha! There’s something beautiful about sharing a project that’s in a “it’s almost but not quite finished” place!!

A year ago today, we loaded up the U-Haul (with the help of some of our best friends & family), & made the short 30 minute drive across town to our new house. We had officially become home-owners just a week before, & after nights & days of painting our new house, a weekend in Houston shooting a wedding, & packing up all of our stuff, we were finally headed to begin our journey in The Hambick House! Hey friends!! I am so excited to share another post about our house updates! I shared about our sunroom back in March, but with wedding season in full swing, it’s taken me a few months to share about our dining room, featuring our beautiful farm-style table built by none other than my amazing husband!! He finished the table & matching benches several months ago, but I didn’t finish adding the finishing touches to the room until just recently! I am SO thankful for Dyl & all the ways he works so hard to make our house a place we love.

That’s because we bought a house & have been doing some fixer-upper type projects to make it our own!! Besides sharing about the Katelyn Anne Photography home studio, this is my first post about our house!! We have spent MANY nights & weekends I didn’t have weddings working on various rooms in the house, & I can’t wait to share more in the upcoming months! But for now, I wanted to start by sharing about the room that was my ABSOLUTE favorite from the moment we first looked at this house

I’m SO excited to finally be sharing some before & after photos of my home studio!! When we moved into our house in August 2016, my office was one of our top priorities to redo & finish so I could begin having potential #katelynannebrides over for consultations & have an inspiring space to work in every day! I’ve NEVER painted walls before, so this was definitely a new experience for me, but it led me to appreciating where I get to work SO much more!
