From becoming friends in high school to rooming together our freshman year of college and being in each other’s weddings, Anja and I have been through so many different seasons of life together! Dyl & I were BEYOND excited when she & Will called us several months ago to tell us they were expecting!! I was so honored when Anja asked me to take her maternity photos…

Every single wedding day that I have the honor of capturing is special, & it’s even more of an honor when it’s family!! Margaret is one of my cousins & it’s been such an awesome blessing to watch as God led she & Joey to each other in His perfect timing. I was so excited when she asked me to be their wedding photographer! Saturday was such a fun day, & it was such a privilege to be a part of the beginning of what I know will be an amazing marriage, all for God’s glory!

What a joy it was to get to capture Kayla & Alex’s wedding day this past Saturday at The Sonnet House in Birmingham! I had been looking forward to this day for not just months, but years. I met Kayla while we were in college together, & as she does with everyone she meets, she immediately made an impact on my life with the way that her love for the Lord & His Word encouraged & challenged me. I knew that whoever she married one day would have to be not just be an awesome guy, but would have to love the Lord above all & love Kayla unconditionally.

I can only being to describe just how much of an incredible honor it was to capture this session!! I always say that I truly get to work with the most amazing couples, but when getting to photograph such an important season in the life of my family, I’m completely overwhelmed that I get to call photography my job!! Grace is my first cousin (her dad is my mom’s brother), & it would be impossible for me to describe just how much I admire this girl!!

Oh y’all, how I got so lucky to get to capture these two I will never know!! What an honor it is that Kayla & Alex chose me to photograph this season for them!! I’ve known Kayla since we were in college together, & from the moment I met her she has been a constant blessing to me! She loves everyone she meets & radiates the joy of Christ in a way that is SO rare. Not only is she STUNNING, but her heart is just as beautiful.
