I’m going to go ahead & give a warning that this is definitely my LONGEST wedding blogpost ever!! My little sister is MARRIED, & I got to be her wedding photographer!! Sunday was the sweetest day as we celebrated Kendall & Jesse’s Forest, Mississippi wedding at The Denton. We are so excited to officially have Jesse as part of our family. Kendall was such a stunning bride, & of course I had to shoot through tears several times!! From their engagement session to their wedding day, it’s been an honor to photograph this season for my sister & her now husband!!

This was my first time being both in a wedding AND shooting it at the same time, not to mention this was my little sister’s wedding, so you could say I was a little nervous! I’m SO grateful for my amazing friend Peyton who came all the way from north Mississippi to help me capture the day. I truly could not have done this without her. My sweet friend Michaela of Parker Media was our videographer, & she went above & beyond for us! I also have to give a shoutout to the wonderful Bethany Sigrest and her team at OAK Weddings – from the florals & coordination to the perfect venue, they did so much to make this day amazing!

Kendall & Jesse incorporated many special details throughout their wedding day. Kendall wore the sage green bracelet that my parents bought for her to have one day when they traveled to China for her adoption. She also wore the daisy ring that our Gran bought her before she passed last year. Chinese fans were placed on guests’ seats as a way to stay cool in the heat, but also to honor Kendall’s Chinese heritage!

Jesse & his groomsmen wore bowties to honor my Dad. We miss him greatly, but I know he would be so proud of Kendall & Jesse. Kendall gifted Jesse custom cufflinks with photos of his Mawmaw & Pawpaw who have passed & would also be so proud of this couple. The boutonnieres were made out of turkey feathers from Jesse’s many hunting trips! One of my favorite details from the day was the specialized menu Jesse & Kendall created to honor their family members who have passed – gumbo for our Dad, peach ice cream for our Pop & Gran, lemon jello cake for Jesse’s Mawmaw, & banana pudding for Jesse’s Papaw.

Kendall & Jesse have been together ever since my twin sister Kelsey set them up as prom dates, & it’s been a joy getting to watch their relationship grow over the years. Jesse has been a part of our family for quite awhile, but I’m excited that it’s finally official! The moment Jesse was overcome with emotion when he saw Kendall for their “first look” was truly a special moment. As the ceremony began & my mom started walking Kendall down the aisle, the Lord’s presence was so evident. His joy & love radiated throughout the entire day – I know He will continue to fill Kendall & Jesse’s marriage with that same joy & love!

Mr. & Mrs. Edwards – I love you both so much!! Know that we are continuing to pray the Lord’s blessings over your marriage. Continue to surrender your lives to Him – He will always be faithful! Enjoy reliving your BEAUTIFUL wedding day, & thank y’all for giving me the honor of being your photographer!!
