It was such an honor getting to capture Katie & Kylan’s beautiful wedding day at Dodson Farms in Starkville on Saturday! This was my first time ever working at this venue, & it is definitely one of my favorites now!! Katie & Kylan’s ceremony was underneath the most amazing trees which provided much needed shade & breeze for their summer wedding, & their reception was in the PERFECT farmhouse-style barn! I remember when Katie first emailed me about she & Kylan’s wedding & how excited she was about the venue they had chosen — they couldn’t have picked a more beautiful place to say “I do!”

One of my favorite parts of Katie & Kylan’s day was how they honored their parents from the start. Kylan gave his mom a gorgeous ring with he & his father’s birth stone. Kylan’s sweet mom gave him his dad’s pocket watch — the watch that Kylan had given him when he was little. It was such a special moment as they remembered Kylan’s dad & truly knew he would be with them on this big day. Katie & her dad shared the SWEETEST first look — he was just so excited to see his “little girl” & when he walked her down the aisle, you could just see how proud he was of her. Katie’s mom made sure every detail went so smoothly for her daughter’s big day, & it was truly a joy to see just how much Katie & Kylan love their parents & appreciate all they’ve done for them.

Katie & Kylan shared a first look under the trees & were so full of joy that their day was finally here! Despite the heat, we were able to take so many beautiful portrait of the two of them as well as with their awesome wedding party & sweet families. Their reception was a BLAST, & they danced the night away celebrating finally becoming husband & wife!!

The amazing team at Dodson Farms were just the best to work with & were so helpful all day long! Fresh Cut Catering & Floral knocked it out of the park with the most stunning florals & delicious food. Cups N Cakes Bakery created the most beautiful cakes, & Scott Steele Entertainment provided such a fun reception! Jake Jones was so great to work with & has already posted a sneak peek video from the day which is INCREDIBLE! I was so excited to get to work with such a dream team who worked so hard to make Katie & Kylan’s day amazing!
