I can only being to describe just how much of an incredible honor it was to capture this session!! I always say that I truly get to work with the most amazing couples, but when getting to photograph such an important season in the life of my family, I’m completely overwhelmed that I get to call photography my job!! Grace is my first cousin (her dad is my mom’s brother), & it would be impossible for me to describe just how much I admire this girl!! She & her family lived in Brazil as missionaries for most of our growing up years, but even though our visits were sometimes few & far between, over the past couple of years we’ve gotten to spend more time together & gotten to become real friends, & that has been more of a blessing than I could have imagined!

Grace is truly a woman after the heart of God – she lives her life to make Christ known, & she loves ALL people selflessly & without borders. When I got to see she & James together for the first time during the Christmas season, it was an incredible moment of realizing that the Lord’s faithfulness has been displayed SO beautifully in bringing them together. James’ heart for the Lord & His people is the same as Grace’s, so I can only begin to imagine all that the Lord has in store for them as He uses their marriage for His glory! My job is truly a dream come true when I get to capture couples who love Jesus & live for Him. I’m SUPER sad that I already have another wedding booked for Grace & James’ date, but getting to capture these engagement photos for them was such an honor!!

Dylan & I got to travel to their city, Mobile, Alabama, & had the best time exploring & seeing several of Grace & James’ favorite places there–the most beautiful part with oak trees that were out of this world, the cutest areas of downtown Mobile, & the pier where they had their second date!! I’m SO excited to share some of my favorites with y’all!!

Grace & James – Dylan & I are both so excited for you two as you are about to entire into the beautiful gift of marriage! We just know it’s going to be the best, & James, we are beyond excited to welcome you into the family! Love you both!!
